It is always a good idea to protect your loads from short circuit and over current problems. As an example, PSMN24SB4 will give you protection for any 100VA load, including all your Class 2 needs. You can have total protection inside your panel, full of controllers, relays, timers and the like, for a fraction of the price to replace those products.
