BACnet® Analog Input Device Update - Set Point Function

The software on the RIBTW24B-BCAI and RIBMNW24B-BCAI has been updated to include a user configurable Set Point Function. This function is available on the previous models with a Code Version or 1.5 or higher. Once configured and enabled, the device will monitor the Analog Input (AI1), compare that value to a set point and differential, and command the Binary Output (BO1) based on the mode chosen. The two modes of operation are Increasing (Heating) or Decreasing (Cooling). The BACnet objects associated with this function can been seen in the following table.

The Analog Input to the device can be a T2/T3 Thermistor, 0-5 Vdc, or 0-10 Vdc, and the hardware and software settings made to the device need to match the input type. When BO1 is commanded by the Set Point Function, the Present Value property of the object is written at Priority 16. This allows for higher priority control of the connected load if needed. Once the higher priority is relinquished, the internal logic will take over control again. The function operates on the local device. Therefore, it will continue to run even if the network goes down or connection is lost.
