Functional Devices is now offering two new current sensors with lower sensing thresholds and higher rated contacts: RIBXKNUTA and RIBXGNTF-125
RIBXKNUTA
The RIBXKNUTA is very similar to the popular RIBXKTA current sensor. It works identically with it being an adjustable solid core current sensor. Where it differs from the RIBXKTA is its sensing range and contact ratings.
The RIBXKNUTA's sensing range is extended from the 0.5-150 Amps of the RIBXKTA, to 0.2-150 Amps, enabling operation with even smaller loads. In addition, the contact ratings have been increased to a full Amp from the .8 Amps of the RIBXKTA.
RIBXGNTF-125
The RIBXGNTF-125 is nearly identical to the RIBXGNTF. Both are split-core current sensors with fixed thresholds and 1 Amp rated contacts. The RIBXGNTF-125 is an improvement over the RIXGNTF in that its sensing threshold is lowered from 0.35 Amps to 0.125 Amps.
Overall, these two new current sensors broaden the range of applications, allowing for lower thresholds and larger loads than what is typical. Of course if you need help selecting a current sensor for your application, be sure to contact our tech support.
